Liquid Helium Facility
Equipment
Seen in the image is a liquid helium plant that was installed in 1971 at the physics department. This facility allowed the study of properties of materials at very low temperatures. The image also shows the transfer of liquid helium from the storage dewar into a crystal for superconductivity studies.
