Institute Days in the 1960s were held to award prizes to students and staff who contributed to the Institute in various fields, including extra-curricular and academic fields.
An article in the 1969 summer edition of Campastimes briefly describes the Tenth Institute Day, “On the twenty-second day of March, 1969, a gaudy rose-pink light atop the projector room at the OAT blinked ‘INSTITUTE DAY’. Nothing much for the general lot, but a great day for the top notchers.”
Mr. Iengar (extreme right) was the Chairman of the Board of Governors and also the chief guest for the event this year. The student in the photograph is yet to be identified.
