At the August 1999, at the 36th Convocation, a total of 949 degrees were awarded: 106 Ph.D, 76 M.S, 352 M.Tech, 82 M.Sc and 333 B.Tech. These degrees covered a wide range of disciplines and specializations offered by the 9 Engineering Departments, 3 Science Departments and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. The graduates included 107 ladies.
