This photograph was taken on the 26th Convocation which was held in 1989. In this photograph, Mr. V. Shanmugam (Registrar) is pictured at the microphone during the Convocation ceremony.
The Annual Report of 1989-90 has determined that 244 B.Tech., 328 M.Tech., 51 M.Sc., 54 M.S., and 81 Ph.D. degrees were awarded during this Convocation which pushed the total number of degrees awarded to 13887 that year. The ceremony was held at the Student Activities Centre (SAC).
