Mrs. Marianne von Weizsäcker at IIT Madras, 1991
This photograph was taken during a special convocation held to confer the degree of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) on Dr. Richard von Weizsäcker who was the President of the Federal Republic of Germany at the time. He visited the Institute with his wife Marianne. She can be seen to the extreme right in the photograph.
Also seen in the image is Prof. M. Ravindran (Head of Ocean Engineering Department, second from right)z. THe other persons in the photograph are yet to be identified.
