Also seen on stage are, Mrs. Shanthi Sengupto (wife of Prof. B. Sengupto), Mr. Venkataraman (Minister of Industries, Madras Government) and a person yet to be identified.

The Staff Club included facilities such as a reading room, and indoor and outdoor games. For the entertainment and benefit of the members and their families dance, drama, music performances and films were showcased frequently and during regular intervals. The Staff Club also conducted events such as Annual Day and Annual Tournament in which several members took part.

C. Gourishankar (1926-2002). After working for several years with the Geological Survey of India and being a geologist by qualification, Gourishankar had later started his career as a photographer. Gourishankar was driven to achieve flawlessness and perfection in everything that he did. Thus his photographs had an impeccable quality that characterised them. Every photograph that Gourishankar took was meticulously planned and shot and printed with diligence and patience. Gourishankar carried out most of the official photography at IIT Madras in the 1960s.
