Pump House

The pump house is located near the Out Gate of IIT Madras. The Annual Report of IIT Madras, 1963 notes that a pump house for a fresh supply of water had been put up along with two reservoirs with capacities of 1,50,000 and 50,000 gallons. It is likely that the pump house being referred to is the one in the photograph.
Album 0049 does not have a photograph of the Student Activities Centre (SAC) which was completed in 1983, but it does have a photograph of Quark, which was completed around 1980. Thus the date of the album is probably 1981 or 1982.
