Road construction at Banyan Avenue junction

This photograph shows the road under construction on Banyan Avenue, near the junction with Delhi Avenue and the road leading to the Shopping Centre. At this spot stood a pillar that proved to be a hindrance for buses turning from Delhi Avenue into Banyan Avenue. The IITM bus, coming from the main gate, would take a right turn into Banyan Avenue and later join Bonn Avenue at the Vana Vani School junction by turning left. The pillar obstructed this maneuver and was eventually removed.
