This image was captured at the 30th Inter-IIT Sports Meet. The event was hosted by IIT Madras in that year.
Unfortunately, heavy rainfall interrupted the event after two days of smooth proceedings, leading to the cancellation of all remaining outdoor events. Only indoor events could be conducted. Despite this setback, IIT Madras performed well, earning a respectable number of points until the third day. The event was recorded as successful in IIT Madras' Annual Report of 1994, which noted the institute's impressive performance nevertheless.
The identities of the students in the picture are unknown.
