This photograph was taken during Matmatah’s performance at the Saarang Rock Show in 2005 as it appears in an album containing photographs from that day, 24 January 2005. The band is known for their rock and folk sound.

This photograph has captured a moment and preserved it as can be seen by the smiles of the students and the push-button mobile phone. This iteration of Saarang was held from 21 to 26 January 2005 and saw numerous events that were spread over those 6 days like Sports Quiz, Business Quiz, Debate, Antakshari, Light Music, Western Music, etc.

Professional live shows like the Rock Show, Jazz Show and Classical Music Nite were held in the Open Air Theatre (OAT). Also held in the Open Air Theatre were Choreo Nite, a dance competition for college students, and Decibels, a Western Music band competition.
