Sivasailam (Chairman, Board of Governors of IIT Madras), Mr. Giani Zail Singh (President of India and chief guest), Mrs. Sheila Kaul (Union Minister for Education and Culture), Dr. H. V. Hande (Minister of Health) and Prof. P. V. Indiresan (Director of IIT Madras).
