At the 30th Inter-IIT Sports Meet, 1994
This photograph was taken during the 30th Inter-IIT Sports Meet at IIT Madras. According to the Annual Report of IIT Madras, 1994, the first two days of the event went well following which there were heavy rains that prevented outdoor events from taking place. However, we know that the indoor games went on as planned. This included sports such as basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and weight lifting. These events were conducted at the Student Activities Centre and the then-old badminton court. It is likely that this photograph was taken during one of these events.
The gentleman in the black jacket has been identified as Mr. Joga Rao (Sports Instructor). The identification was done by Mr. N. Ramesh (1984 alumnus).
