This photograph was taken during the 63rd Republic Day celebrations on campus, in 2012. In the photograph, we can see the Institute Security contingent at the security officers’ parade. During the Republic Day celebration, the Director of IIT Madras also reviews the parade.
The event for the Republic Day was held in front of the Administration Building. The Republic Day event also saw a speech by the Director and renditions of several patriotic and national songs. It was attended by faculty and staff members, residents and students.
