This photograph was taken at the 26th convocation of IIT Madras held on 8 August 1989. This image shows a large section of the audience, including the members of the audience in the gallery, although they are obscured by shadows.

This photograph also shows the capacity of the Student Activities Centre (SAC). Also visible in the image are two “Reserved V.I.P.” signboards and an “A Card Holders” signboard.
