The third convocation invitation card was simple and formal. It was made using firm cartridge paper that was cream coloured. On the cover, the details of the convocation (the name of the institute, third convocation and date) were printed in black ink using the Wedding Text BT-Regular font. A total of 305 students received their degrees at the event. Dr. A. L. Mudaliar (Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan), the Chairman of the Board of Governors presided over the ceremony.
