Mr. Mudaliar was the sixth Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Madras. He was the son of Dr. A. L. Mudaliar, the first Chairman of the Institute and the younger brother of Prof. A. Mr. Hans Klein visited IIT Madras in order to officially hand over the Siemens 7580-E Computer System to the Institute on behalf of the West German Government. During his visit, he visited the Computer Centre in the Computer Sciences Block to take a look at the functioning of the devices.
