Dr. Werner Koch was known to have introduced Robert Wichard Pohl’s (“father of solid states physics”) textbooks as well as Pohl’s lecture demonstrations to IIT Madras.
The Third Institute Day took place at the Institute’s Building Sciences Block on the IITM campus. The Institute Day of IIT Madras is a day marked to celebrate the hard work and success of people who have shown excellence in academics as well as extracurricular activities. A number of students, faculty and dignitaries were present at the event. Prizes were awarded to students, faculty members, alumni and other individuals who were involved with the Institution.
