The chief guest/speaker at IIT Madras’s sixth convocation was Dr. S. Bhagavantam, Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of Defence; Government of India On the day of the event, upon reaching the campus, Dr. S. Bhagavantam was received by the Director and Registrar of the Institute. The chief guest was then presented a guard of honour by the cadets of the N.C.C., which he inspected along with Lt. Col. S.
