Mr. Hans Klein at IIT Madras, 1988

Mr. Hans Klein was the Minister for Economic Co-operation for the Federal Republic of Germany. He visited IIT Madras in March 1988 in order to officially hand over the Siemens 7580-E Computer System to IIT Madras on behalf of the German Government. The official function took place at the Central Lecture Theatre (CLT) and the Minister visited the newly built Computer Sciences Block after the function.

Here, he is seen with Prof. H. N. Mahabala (Computer Science and Engineering Department, right). The others in the photograph are yet to be identified.
