Dr. Anil Kakodkar (born 11 November 1943) is an Indian nuclear physicist. Dr. Kakodkar is a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan (India's second-highest honour for civilians). He was the chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India and the Secretary to the Government of India. He was also the Director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Trombay, from 1996 to 2000.
